Exchange rate in SAP can be maintained as Direct or Indirect Quotations
Direct quotation
Direct Quotation the cost of one unit of foreign currency is given in units of local currency
Indirect quotation
Indirect Quotation the cost of one unit of local currency is given in units of foreign currency
Example
Local Currency is SAR –Saudi Riyal
Direct Exchange Rate
1 USD = 3.75 SAR
Indirect Exchange Rate
1 SAR = 0.26 USD
Menu Path :
IMG > SPRO > SAP NETWEAVER > GENERAL SETTINGS > CURRENCIES >ENTER EXCHANGE RATES
T –Code :
OB08 or S_BCE_68000174
For Maintaining Direct Exchange rate ,Select new entries Button
Enter the Following in the next screen
- Exchange Rate Type
- Valid from date (start date from which the rates are applicable )
- Foreign Currency
- Currency Rate
- Local Currency
